Epidemiology of congenital anomalies

My main expertise is epidemiology. During my medical training, I realised that disease prevention is more important than treatment. In my research, I am primarily motivated by uncovering the reasons why people develop diseases—piecing together parts of the puzzle to protect public health. In November 2024, I shifted my focus from respiratory medicine to congenital anomalies. At Eurocat, we register all cases of congenital anomalies. This enables us to monitor changes in prevalence and investigate associated risk factors.
