Advancing health equity from the very start of life

My research focuses on care for (expectant) parents. I am particularly interested in understanding and integrating the perspectives of parents, healthcare professionals, and social care professionals. For 'Kansrijke Start' (Solid Start), we examine the care provided to (expectant) parents, including its quality, accessibility, and the factors that influence these aspects. Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research, we generate both academic knowledge and practical insights and recommendations to inform policy and practice. In this way, care for (expectant) parents can be improved, and more children will have a healthy and equitable start in life.
