Kolff Paper of the Year – Best Societal Impact Award 2022 for Coppes (& Kruijff) group

We are thrilled to announce that the group of Prof. Rob Coppes from the department of BSCS has received the Kolff Paper of the Year – Best Societal Impact Award 2022, for the paper titled, “Patient-derived parathyroid organoids as a tracer and drug-screening application model”.

The paper, published in Stem Cell Reports, demonstrates the feasibility and potential of using patient-derived parathyroid organoids as a novel tracer and drug-screening application model.

This prestigious award recognizes the innovative and impactful research that we have conducted in collaboration with the group of Schelto Kruijff from the Department of Surgical Oncology, UMCG.

We are grateful for this honor and to all our colleagues and partners who have supported our work. This is a great achievement for the group of Prof. Rob Coppes and for the department of BSCS!
