I am a researcher working as a medical social worker in the obstetrics department at UMC Groningen. I stand beside parents who lose their child (or children) during pregnancy or just after birth. From this capacity I became interested in the long-term consequences of this loss and the right manner to support them to hopefully minimise these consequences. The ultimate goal is to compose a questionnaire that can be used nationally to determine the parents’ individual aftercare needs.
