Assistant Professor Profile
Assistant Professor

I am a translational scientist at the Department of Critical Care. My research focuses on the mechanisms driving organ failure in critically ill patients, with particular emphasis on sepsis and acute kidney and lung injury. I am especially interested in how comorbidities and biological sex influence immune responses and shape both acute and long-term outcomes. By combining clinical cohort studies with translational approaches, I aim to unravel the biological pathways that govern disease progression and recovery, with the goal of improving care and outcomes for patients admitted to the ICU. In addition to my research, I contribute to education by teaching master’s courses and supervising PhD students.
