Full Professor of Experimental Vascular Pathology

As a dedicated biomedical scientist, my passion lies in exploring the intricate complexities of vascular diseases. With a background in basic translational research, I delve into the cellular mechanisms underlying abnormalities in blood vessels and surrounding tissue. My focus centers on patients with chronic kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, and kidney transplants, where vascular complications often pose significant threats. By unraveling these mysteries, I aspire to uncover novel therapeutic targets, offering hope for preventive treatments. Alongside my research, I am a dedicated teacher in the Medical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences teaching programs, emphasizing basic histology and cardiovascular disease.
