Project leader 'Treatment, Research & Implementation of Psychedelics' / PhD Candidate

am a philosopher, conducting qualitative research into the personal experiences of patients undergoing treatments with different psychedelics for severe mental disorders. My aim is to deepen our understanding of the therapeutic mechanisms involved and the role of setting, therapy, and other contextual factors. As project leader of TRIP, we aim to connect all stakeholders involved in research and therapeutic use of psychedelics; researchers, healthcare providers, patients, regulators, insurers, pharmaceutical organisations, policy makers, politicians and more, to insure safe, ethical and responsible implementation of psychedelic-assisted therapies in the healthcare ecosystem. I am also the executive director of the non-profit OPEN Foundation, where I organize scientific conferences, expert meetings, collaborative research networks and more, aiming to advance interdisciplinary research into (therapeutic applications of) psychedelics. I believe in collaborative, transdisciplinary, critical and open-minded approaches in science and beyond.
