iMPaCT-Implants Program Closing Event

iMPaCT-Implants reaches an important milestone and lays a solid foundation for future innovations and better care for patients

With support from the Just Transition Fund (JTF), the iMPaCT-Implants program has brought together companies, knowledge institutions and healthcare partners to develop personalized implant technologies, strengthen regional collaboration and improve patient care in the Northern Netherlands.

After several years of innovation and collaboration, the iMPaCT-Implants program is coming to a successful end. Thanks to the support of the Just Transition Fund (JTF), the program has brought together researchers, healthcare professionals and regional companies to develop new implant technologies and strengthen the MedTech ecosystem in the Northern Netherlands.

One of the greatest successes of the iMPaCT-Implants program is the intensive collaboration. By combining scientific knowledge, clinical expertise and entrepreneurship, innovative solutions have been developed that can contribute to better patient care and a higher quality of life. At the same time, the programme has generated new knowledge, talent and collaborations that further strengthen the regional innovative power.

The Just Transition Fund is a European fund that makes an important contribution to the green and sustainable development of the Northern Netherlands region. The fund is co-financed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The provinces of Groningen, Drenthe, Fryslân, the municipality of Emmen and the Northern Netherlands Labour Market Table are programme partners. The subsidy is provided by the Northern Netherlands Partnership (SNN).

Looking ahead

Although the programme is in its final phase, its impact continues to be felt. The networks and collaborations that have emerged within iMPaCT-Implants form a strong foundation for future innovations such as customization in healthcare, advanced implants and medical technology. The knowledge and technologies developed support new research initiatives, business opportunities and healthcare solutions. This is in line with the JTF objective of diversifying economic activities in the region.

To reflect on these results and to look ahead to the future, we are organizing the iMPaCT-Implants Closing Event on Friday 6 November. During this meeting, the main results, success stories and lessons learned from the program will be presented.

Sign up? Researchers, companies, healthcare professionals, policymakers and other interested parties are welcome to participate and get acquainted with the results and future of iMPaCT-Implants. You can register for the Closing Event on Friday 6 November via the website of iMPaCT-Implants.

The success of iMPaCT-Implants shows what is possible when companies, knowledge institutions and healthcare organizations jointly invest in innovation with social impact and a strong regional anchoring.
