My main expertise is geriatric psychiatry. In both roles, as a physician and researcher, my interest lies in studying (abnormal) behavior, and the possibility to prevent or modify it. My aim is that older adults with psychopathology achieve an optimal quality of life through coordinated multidisciplinary interventions based on the latest scientific insights, which focus on biological, psychological, and social factors.
