Global Health Hub Groningen Symposium 21 September 2023

‘A Global approach to anticipate and tackle future “One-Health” challenges’.
Global Health Hub Symposium

We kindly invite you for our Global Health Hub Groningen Symposium.

Key topics are major Global Health challenges such as emerging infectious diseases (e.g. COVID-19), antimicrobial resistance, inequalities in access to (basic) healthcare, and the lack of financing and collaboration.

Global Health and the broader One Health approach bridge the current Public Health challenges and the increasing Planetary Health threats. An increasing number of different Global developments such as among other topics ageing of population, climate change and socioeconomic differences, require a proactive bi-directional collaboration between the low- and middle-income and high-income countries.

The symposium will focus on how to anticipate future health, societal and economic impact of One-Health and broader Planetary Health risks. How can we accelerate bi-directional public-private collaboration on knowledge (science and education), policy-development and entrepreneurship?

Join us for a session with interesting speakers, interactive sessions and networking.

The symposium is on Thursday September 21st from 12.00 – 18.00 hrs. at the UMCG (Rode Zaal) in Groningen.

Looking forward to meeting you!
