I am a PhD student in the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology department under the supervision of Prof. Dr. H.R. Bouma and Prof. Dr. R.H. Henning. My research aims to unravel the mechanisms hibernators use to regulate mitochondrial protection and sustain mitochondrial activity during hypothermic conditions, with the goal of exploiting these mechanisms to develop novel mitochondrial preservation techniques for sepsis.
