ERC Starting grant for Dr. Inge R. Holtman, Rosalind Franklin Fellow

The section of molecular neurobiology from the department of Biomedical Sciences of Cells and Systems at the UMCG is proud to announce that Dr. Inge R. Holtman, Rosalind Franklin Fellow, Assistant Professor in Neurogenomics, has received the prestigious ERC Starting grant, with a total value of 1.5 million Euros. Dr. Holtman here group will establish novel research lines into the cellular and molecular features associated with three major mental illnesses (bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and major depressive disorder). This work will build upon the Netherlands Neurogenetics Database, an ongoing collaboration between her research group and the Netherlands Brain Bank, and will aim to establish brain organoids models for psychiatric disorders.
