Aylin Post Wins the Boymans Prize 2025

News

Movement scientist Aylin Post won the Boymans Prize 2025 last Thursday! She received the award for her dissertation “Demystifying Swimming Talent”, for which she conducted research over the past few years into how swimming talents develop toward the top level. She compared the physical, mental, technical, and tactical characteristics of national and international talents. This resulted in age-specific profiles that show what distinguishes successful swimmers. The insights from her research help us better understand how talent develops and how coaches can support this process.
This research was made possible thanks to the unique collaboration between UMCG/RuG, InnoSportLab De Tongelreep, and the KNZB. More information about the prize and her research can be found via this link: Boymans Prize 2025 goes to Aylin Post for research on the path to swimming excellence – Mulier Institute.
