The group of Prof. Fulvio Reggirio presents an animated movie on ‘autophagy’. This animated movie presents the mechanism of macroautophagy, also known as autophagy, by showing the molecular features of the formation of autophagosomes, the hallmark organelle of this intracellular catabolic pathway. It is based on our current research and illustrates how autophagosomes can recognize and eliminate specific cargoes.
This movie is a creation of Driving next-generation autophagy researchers towards translation (DRIVE), a pan-European Autophagy researchers’ consortium supported by a Marie Skłodowska-Curie ETN grant under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program (Grant Agreement No 765912).
