A working life is very important, so UMCG has developed a wide range of options to keep chronic kidney patients at work. The patients themselves are in charge.

People with kidney disease often have trouble keeping up with their jobs; some even lose their jobs. This has significant financial and social consequences for them. However, job retention is rarely discussed with the specialist. The aim of BAAN, a project of the UMCG, is to change that by offering work-oriented medical care. An article about BAAN was recently published in the Dutch magazine Medisch Contact.
