Henk-Jan Boersema conducted a qualitative study in which he interviewed insurance and occupational physicians and representatives of patient associations about the concept of 'inability to work fulltime', how it presents itself and how it can be assessed. The interviewees described an inability to work fulltime as a complex concept, with fatigue and cognitive impairment and impaired functioning as important indicators and made recommendations for its assessment.
