The new healthcare: from eHealth to CoronaCheck

eHealth can offer valuable opportunities in today's healthcare. However, understanding the possibilities and use of e-health in daily practice can be challenging. How do we keep healthcare affordable for everyone? Can an app ensure fewer hospitalisations? In an interview with the University of Groningen, our newest DASH member Esther Metting tells more about technology in health care, the CoronaMelder app and the future of health care.
The new healthcare: from eHealth to CoronaCheck

Esther is a psychologist and epidemiologist, working as assistant professor at the Data Science Center in Health (DASH) and the University of Groningen. Since September 2021, she has been member of the Young Academy Groningen. During the COVID-19 crisis she evaluated the CoronaMelder and CoronaCheck applications for VWS and led the evaluation of the COVID-19 fast testing lane for education organisations in Groningen. Her goal is to use her talent, experience and passion for science to improve scientific knowledge in the field of eHealth.
