Wanted: New colleagues team Data Science | CIT, University of Groningen

The Center for Information Technology (CIT) of the University of Groningen is looking for new colleagues (multiple positions; part-time possible) to join their Data Science team.

New advances in deep neural networks, but also well-established machine learning and statistical techniques, open up new ways to answer interesting research questions. Together with 11 other team members with backgrounds in machine learning, statistics, computer vision, psychology, economics and physics, as well as with support from other colleagues, you would be applying various techniques to derive new scientific insights.

The Center for Information Technology (CIT) of the University of Groningen works with a wide variety of scientific disciplines and provide support in the following areas:

● (statistical) data analysis
● apply machine-learning techniques to visual, textual, tabular, or other types
of data
● data visualisation
● presenting and reporting (preliminary) results
● data harvesting and enriching
● consultancy (e.g. fine-tuning research proposals)
● teaching.
