De Hersenstichting subsidizes the research conducted by Amsterdam UMC and UMCG into the effect of the much-discussed Cognitive FX treatment from America.

The aim is to determine whether this treatment for long-term complaints after a concussion may work and gives rise to further research. The effect of American treatment has not yet been sufficiently proven for Dutch insurers. In total, de Hersenstichting has allocated an amount of € 200,000.

Rimke Groenewold, involved in this research from TGO, expects that the first results are expected to be known in 2023. She emphasizes that this research is very important for people dealing with the consequences of a concussion.
