Our research groups
Internal Medicine at the UMCG has a long research tradition and has many national and international publications to its name.

In the coming years, our scientific research will focus on the spearheads of the UMCG, namely acute medicine, oncology, transplantation medicine and research in the context of Healthy Aging.

Within Internal Medicine, we translate the Lifelines research into treatment and lifestyle advice tailored to the individual. This includes nutrition and exercise, for both young and old.
