DAME Symposium: The possibilities of AI in the field of Medical Imaging | Recordings

News
What exactly is Artificial Intelligence (AI), what are the possibilities of AI in medical imaging and what does it deliver? During a one-of-a-kind online DAME symposium, that took place on the 29th of June (2021), scientists and experts from various medical centers within and outside the Netherlands addressed these questions by bringing science and practice together.

With a mix of interactive presentations, videos and Q&A the symposium provided an excellent and easy-to-understand overview of Artificial Intelligence in the field of Medical Imaging.

Fortunately, all presentations have been recorded. The videos can be viewed on the YouTube account of the Data Science Center in Health (DASH) of the UMCG.

What is the DAME project?

The aim of DAME (Deep Learning Algorithms for Medical Image Evaluation) is to explore software solutions using deep learning technology to achieve automatic, fast and reliable detection of abnormalities (such as cancer) in medical images. Partners in this project have been working on this topic the past years and have achieved substantial results.
